You should be able to connect your Sound Bar (out/ARC) to the TVs HDMI ARC capable HDMI2 and connect SKY Q to the other HDMI input
You will need to set the TVs Speaker selction to Home Cinema (at least those are the settings on my Panasonic)
This method will also allow Freeview TV & any inbuilt apps to use the sound bar also

Or passthrough, if the tv has that setting, so the soundbar deals with the audio, not the tv.

That television is over a decade old: it may well not do audio pass-through at all.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe manual for that TV says you need to connect the sky box direct to the amp if you want 5.1 etc so I suspect it may only send stereo down the ARC connection.
