Connected a new soundbar but tv keeps losing internet and mini boxes don’t work

I replaced my old soundbar yesterday but since then for some reason my main tv keeps saying it's not connected to the internet ( in sky home page) and my two mini boxes no longer work?
all I did was unplug old hdmi and optical cable and plug in new hdmi into tv ARC port.

Have had to re type router password several times on tv as it keeps dropping out, and tried same on mini boxes but they don't connect.

feel like going back to my 10 year old soundbar ☹️

Hi @ColinT1

When you your TV will not connect to the internet I assume you mean the main Q box.

First reset your broadband router.
If on Sky broadband hold the Reset on the back of the router until the power light flashes green (about 10 seconds). Don't unplug or switch off your router while it resets. The power light will go green when it's done.
If on 3rd party broadband and your router does not have a reset button, reboot it by disconnecting the power lead for 30 secs and then reconnecting.
Wait until the router is completely back and running and then try a Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router. Even if reset is not listed there is still an option to connect by WiFi to Sky or 3rd party router
If you are on Sky Broadband you will be asked to press the WPS button on the Sky router. (Not on the Q box as the Network reset will start the main Q box WPS automatically). Make sure you press the WPS button on the Sky router and not the reset button.
if you are on 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.

Hi, thanks for your reply but I have tried that already but didn't resolve problems. It's a 3rd party router with no reset button so had to unplug and re type router password but just keeps dropping out each time. Unplugged Sky mini boxes too but don't respond to remote now, it's just getting worse!

I have this same problem at a Sky mini. New Samsung soundbar with wireless sub and surround speakers and the Sky mini at that tv can no longer see the Sky Q and/or internet. Did you get any useful tips?

it seems to me that the Sky mini has poor EMC protection as with soundbar off all is well.

More likely that the new soundbar is using the same frequency as the Q mesh.  Are there any settings to change the channel that the soundbar uses?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

I did think of this. I have a WiFi analyser that doesn't show-up any additional channel use at ch36 for the Q mesh.

Hi @ColinT1 Try rebooting your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on, then do the same with any Mini boxes?

Wonder if the new one has some inteference leak. Worth trying the old one again just to test.

edit: oh sorry that was to the original post. This one is wireless? Will be using 2.4GHz spectrum and won't show up on a wifi analyser as it's not wifi. Can you use ethernet or powerlines for the mini?
