Cannot get both Sky Q remotes to work with Sonos Arc

We have  2 Sky Q remotes.  Both were working with the Sonos soundbar.  Changed router recently and had to reconnect Sonos Arc to WiFi .     Now only one remote will work.  When you try to pair both with Sonos, only one works.

hi @charlieboots

Not too sure why they would not both pair.

Please may I ask how are you paring them - are you resetting them completely or are you just going via the sub menus ?

Also can I assume you are paring to the Sonos ARV rather than the TV & relying on HDMI control from the TV

I presume one of your remotes is set to IR only (although this should not matter for the Sonos as both would use IR)

Re: Cannot get both Sky Q remotes to work with Sonos Arc

Hi.  Pairing them via the sub menu...control a speaker system.  I paired the Sky Q touch remote first.  That worked.     Then tried the standard remote.

After the standard remote paired, the touch remote would not work at all.

tried resetting the standard remote and that doesn't help

Note you can only use one in bluetooth mode with a SKY Q box - the other needs to be set to Infrared after pairing

So can I suggest you try the following - fully resetting each remote & pairing but note pair the one you want to use in Infrared mode only first!

Press & Hold the 7 & 9 until the remote's light (red LED above the SKY logo button) flashes 4 times

Then press 1 & 3 together to go through to re-pair with the box and your TV - make sure it has line of sight of the box as until it is paired it uses Infrared

Once this first one is paired , press 4 & 6 together to set to Infrared only

Then repeat as above for the one you want to use bluetooth (& voice control) but do not press the 4&6 after.

Re: Cannot get both Sky Q remotes to work with Sonos Arc

@nigea99 Thanks for info.  Perhaps I have misunderstood your instructions.

When  I reset the Touch remote it only allows me to set up to control the tv.   I do not have the option to control the sound bar.

Both remotes were working to control the Sonos soundbar before I had to reset the Sonos.

hi @charlieboots

I am not aware it is any different for the Touch remotes - I might try & dig my old one & give it a try.

I don't set for my AV am but using the 1 & 3 should ask for the TV and then go on to ask if you want to set up AV amp .
