We have recently moved to Vodafone BB (previously with Sky BB) and the Sky Q box will not connect to the Wi-Fi, I can connect to the router using an Ethernet cable to a Vodafone booster (as the main router is in another room), but the Sky Q screen says it’s connected to the router but not connected to the internet!
Vodafone have said it’s a Sky problem,. And Sky can’t get an engineer to us until 20th Feb ‘25!!
It feels like some settings maybe need changing to get them to talk to each other?
Any advice would be massively appreciated.

First reset your broadband router.
On 3rd party broadband and your router does not have a reset button, reboot it by disconnecting the power lead for 30 secs and then reconnecting.
Wait until the router is completely back and running and then try a Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router. Even if reset is not listed there is still an option to connect by WiFi to Sky or 3rd party router
On 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.

Thank you, we've tried this already and it doesn't make any difference unfortunately, still won't connect to internet only to the router.

did you manage to resolve this? I have teh same issue with my vodafine router and cannot connect

Weirdly after trying everything I then unplugged the router then plugged it back in again and everything connected! I've not had a problem since thankfully.
I can't explain it but that made it work.

Did you need to manually enter the details of the router? I have unplugged and reset router and then tried to enter the router name and password several times but keeps saying connection unsuccessful...

No the router showed on the list on the sky tv so I just needed to enter the password. The first time I rang Vodafone the tech guy was very good to be honest and he got it working., have you tried them yet?
