Yes @ceztr1st

Sky TV
~ To cancel it completely you’ll need to contact Sky giving the required notice of 31 days. Remember, the latest T’s and C’s for TV subscriptions state you can only cancel within a minimum discounted term if Sky agree to it. If they do allow it you’ll end up paying off the rest of the discounted term.
Select ‘Need more help’ at the bottom of the following link which will lead to contact details.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave
(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ The link should include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ it’s only by ringing or writing in.

If you cancel correctly you should receive a confirmation email from Sky.

If you’re cancelling Sky Q totally don’t forget it’s very important that you keep you proof of posting indefinitely when you return the box(es) as Unipart are not quick at telling Sky you have sent equipment back. Return packaging will be sent out towards the end of your notice period.

Re: Cancelling sky tv but keeping broadband

I wanted to do that as didn't want to pay for tv but after an hour talking to someone we were going round in circles and they only offered me a tv and broadband package which is odd as I know people who just have broadband but for some reason they just wouldn't let me keep it on its own so I cancelled it all

@Kuga2

Sorry for your loss.

You can cancel Sky TV and keep the broadband if this is what you are asking. As long as you are not in a contract (if you are not sure Sky will tell you) then you can do this by calling Sky and speaking to them.

150 is the free number to use from a Sky Talk phone otherwise under "Need more help ?" link at the bottom of the page on this link is the number to call Sky on:

Try saying nothing when spoken to by the bot.

@Kuga2

My condolences as well. You didn't say whether you are the Sky account holder or if it was your husband. If it was John then have a read of this link as well regarding notifying Sky

@sickbullet80

Yes but tofully cancel your TV subscription, if you’re out of contract you’ll need to give Sky the required 31 days notice. The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. (If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term).

See the below link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv
Select ‘No, I still need help’ at the bottom of the link which will lead to contact methods.
(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ It may include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ there’s a text option (Monday-Friday 9am to 4:30pm) otherwise it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.

If you successfully cancel you should receive an acknowledgment email from Sky.

If you are cancelling Sky Q, return packaging will be sent out near the end of your notice period. It’s important that you obtain proof of posting and keep it safe and indefinitely.

Then you can only cancel anything if they agree to it

Which they probably won't

Re: Cancelling sky tv but keeping broadband

If they won't then I cancel the lot, and move to bt.

I will be doing one of the two.
