Unable to use sky again today. No satellite signal on screen or the blue screen . No reason for this. No bad weather

I'd suggest fully rebooting both the router and the Sky Q main box.
Unplug both of them, same time, from the wall for at least 30 seconds.
Plug back in the router only, get it up and running, and run a speed test on your mobile. Now plug back in the Sky Q box, go to settings, and reset the network settings section. Then scan for your router, add in your password, and hopefully, you're back up and running.
Good luck.

On a Q box press the home button and go down to settings and select it. Press select on the Status option and then press right to the More Info button and select it. That will show signal strength and quality, That should be at 100% & 90% ideally. It sounds likely that the dish is out of alignment although it could be equipment failure.

Hi @Nancy3
Are you getting a No Satellite signal message?
Work through the following link and if you cannot solve your issue it will lead to booking a Engineer.
Alternately, if you are on a Communal Dish you will need to contact your Landlord or Management company.

Thanks. I've tried everything this morning but to no avail. I've booked an engineer reluctantly. Always worried it's nothing serious and they'll charge me lol

Whenever a “no satellite signal” message is displayed firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Also check out the troubleshooting on this link

It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish (it’s not something that will necessarily be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels). If you’re on a communal dish you may initially need to liaise with your landlord or building management company.

I did a box reset, holding the green light button on the front of the box holding it whilst switching off power at the wall and holding button in until box reinstalled its software step 1/2 then releasing press. This didnt fix the issue but once it completed its process i switched off at the wall again for 30 seconds, switched it back on, waited for boot sequence and pressed home, whilst at home menu i pressed and held the button to the right the button with 2 arrows on it one pointing up and one down, somehow this reactivated my satelite signal and now works, hope this works for someone else
