Can't select subtitles (if available) at the time when selecting the TV channel with our new Sky Q

Our new Sky Q box and an extension Sky Q box were installed yesterday. With the previous Sky +HD box, we were able to select / unselect subtitles at the time of selecting the channel. With Sky Q it appears that you either have to set the system so that all programs that have subtitles will show the subtitles even if you don't want them. We want to be able to select/deselect subtitles at the time we are viewing the channel without going through some elaborate procedure each time.

Hi @John747   Press the "?" on your Sky remote or simpler still, press the voice button and say "subtitles On or Off".

We have the same issue and unfortunately this solution doesn't work for us.

If we want subtitles, which we generally do, we have to watch on our smart tv or stream using the app, e.g. Disney, also on the tv, not always a solution of course.

Hi @Patanjali   What doesn't work? What happens when you press the "?" key? Don't you have a voice remote? It is all in the details if we are going to try and help you.
