Can’t scroll stations to record programmes without whole section of tv guide moving down.
I can't scroll down through my new SkyQ tv guide to select programmes without the whole section of the guide moving down as I could with my previous Sky+ box. This makes recording laborious requiring constant moving up and down each section to select programmes on different stations. My previous Sky+ box allowed programmes to be selected by a single scroll through to whole guide.

Re: Can’t scroll stations to record programmes without whole section of tv guide moving down.
I am not too sure what you are expecting - I haven't had a SKY HD box for 6 years so unfortunately can't remember exactly how it worked.
In the TV guide if you use the up / down arrows (around the central select/enter button) then it moves up/down a channel at a time (admittedly moving the currently selected channel to the top)
If you use the Programme up/down buttons ( Next to the voice & record buttons) it will scroll a page at a time
When in the Guide you can select any channel by typing in the channel number
BTW if you haven't already done so I really do suggest you set up your most used programmes as your favourites which makes seeing them in the Guide easier, as well as scrolling through the channels when watching & easier to remember the channel numbers & selecting the top 9 with a single button (the others with only 2)

Re: Can’t scroll stations to record programmes without whole section of tv guide moving down.
The previous SKy+ box kept the channel list static enabling all programmes on the entire list of channels to be seen and easily selected to record.
Now with the SkyQ box a programme can not be selected without the whole of the lower part of the list moving down causing all programmes higher on the list to disappear from view and requires scrolling back up to view and possibly record programmes on the upper channels, Also viewing other sections of the guide requires additional up/down buttons to be selected resulting in further time and inconvenience and which I consider to be a disadvantage over Sky+ when SkyQ is intended to be an improvement.

I am sorry to say that comparing SKY Q to SKY HD a fraughtless task which is only likely to lead to frustration - SKY Q was probably built from the ground up rather than much, if any reference to SKY HD
SKy Q does bring many improvements but many SKY HD users (& I count myself in that) often find SKY Q UI less useful/easy than the older simplistic SKY HD one - anyone who considers SKY Q as improvement over SKY HD in all aspects probably never really used SKY HD in earnest.
I am not quite sure, other than not being what you are used to, why moving the display down to make your current selected channel the top of list results in more presses - you would still have to cursor back up to select a programme to record.
It may be a slight change to the way you are used to, but if you want to see & set recordings on a channel then probably best to scroll across in time for that channel rather than scrolling down first

It's just different. Personally I'd never go back - the Sky+ will eventually die but it's being persistent! 😃

Is the the 'Touch' option on the remote causing the problem?
If so, you can turn it off on SkyQ in the: "Settings -> Setup -> Remote Control" menu
