Can’t record but have the channel

I pay for the HD channels as part of our package but when I go to record a programme from that channel it says I need to upgrade. However if I go find the same channel via the guide I can watch it. Very confused. Any help?

I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

i am able to watch this channel throigh the guide but can record anything

hi @Tish13 

 

Channel 5 is a bit peculiar that it does alllow you to watch in HD without the HD add on but need the HD add on to download anything in HD.

 

As you say you have the HD add on can you watch say SKY atlantic in HD without getting prompted to upgrade ?

@nigea99 @No I don't have hd sky Atlantic, its asks to upgrade. I just assumed as I can watch channel 5 hd I could record from it too.

please may I just double check that you have the HD add on ?
