Can’t get picture on Sony Projector from Sky Q box

We had sky Q installed yesterday. We had the main box connected to our Sony projector and mini boxes connected to 2 other TVs in other rooms in the house. The 2 TVs with the mini boxes are working perfectly but we can't get a picture on the main box connected to the projector. The Sky engineers spent a good hour trying to figure it out, managed to get the picture on once for about a minute but then it went off. It's looking like our projector isn't compatible with the Sky Q box but just wondered if there was a work around for this? I've read some things about HDCP 2.2 and potentially that's the issue but not too technically minded so unsure what it all means. As an FYI we have the PlayStation 4 connected to the projector also which works fine and the previous Sky HD box worked fine with the same HDMI cable we are trying to use now. Also sound is coming through via our HEOS Amp system for Sky , it's just no picture.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

How long is the HDMI lead?

I'd say the length of the hdmi cable is about 5 m. It's goes from the projector on the ceiling into the roof and then down into a cupboard where the Sky Q box is. This HDMI cable worked fine with the old Sky HD box and a similar length cable is used for the Platmystation, which works fine.

I would still say it's the cable.  Working previously doesn't eliminate it - Q seems to be more sensitive to cable length.

Try a shorter one first...

If the Q box is set to its default UHD output then that cable is almost certainly too long.
