Can’t connect YouTube to tv since sky Q issues - won’t cast videos to tv

Since the sky Q outages I cannot cast you tube videos to my tv

Try restarting your broadband router and then restart your device you are casting from and  your Sky Q boxes.

 

This sounds like you have stalled a wifi connection somewhere along the line.

A restart of all the above should cure that.

Cast?

 

Was this possible with Q before? Never tried it. So you use the youtube app  on your phone and then get the Q box to take over?

 

does the app on the Q work standalone? Some people have said they can't get it to sign in.

Yes I've always cast videos from my phone to the tv. I'm u sure if this was related to the Q outages but after unplugging and restarting I was able to cast videos again
