Can’t connect 2TB Sky Q box to Sky mini box.
Before I ordered it, Sky told me that as long as the mini box and the main Sky box are connected to the same network, they can talk to each other.
However after receiving the mini box and placing it in the location where I wish to use it, it couldn't communicate with the main Sky Q box. I brought it closer and they connected.
I then moved the mini box back to its location and again it couldn't speak the main Sky Q box thinking that the WiFi signal is good and they can talk to each other.
If the distance between the boxes is too far, why won't I'd work if both devices are on the same network?
Spoke to Sky and they think it's a dodgy mini box but I'm not convinced!

I assume you're not on sky broadband?

hi @m4typ01
If your network is not SKY then they don't use your wifi for the connection from the mini to main box but a wifi signal generated by the main box.
Network wise, you can connect both to your network via ethernet
