Good news, you already have discovery+. You just need to open the app and sign in to start watching.
Then if I click on the tab 'Open discovery+' it takes me to the discovery+ home page, I try to watch a show and still get the message 'Upgrade to watch'
@Trackermonkey so on you Q box if you press the home button scroll down to my Sky then chod=se the your product icon after putting in your your 4 digit pin number you should get 2 options Sky subscriptions and app subscriptions if you click on the app subscriptions what do you see ?
I press the home button, scroll to my sky, select discovery +
it doesn't ask me for my 4 digit pin. I don't get 2 options.
i get a blue screen with the message 'You're all set good news you already have discovery +.
you just need to open the app and sign in to start watching'
The only option to press is ' Open discovery+'
i do that, it opens discovery +, select 'start watching' then get a black screen with the message 'Upgrade to Watch' 2 options 'Retry' or 'Back'
'Retry' does nothing and 'Back' just takes me back to Discovery screen.

Eventually managed to get Discovery+ working on my my Sky Q box. It was very tortuous though having to spend 2 hours on phone to Sky, getting cut off twice, going through several agents. What worked eventually was when they linked a secondary Sky ID on a different email account. This appeared to force a re-linking of my viewing card .

So I've managed to sort it out after it logged me out again. You do follow on screen prompts and the link or QR code dors take you to the login screen for discovery plus website. Login with your Sky details 1st and then it will ask for the number on the screen. Once logged it will work.

I have been trying to activate my Discovery plus since I took out sky which was in February every time they are just interesting in me taking out an account with them and paying which I'm not going to do as this is supposed to be a free service with sky
It's so frustrating 😡
Sky has even told me to phone Discovery which I did and they weren't any help whatsoever🤦
This is supposed to be part of my package and I'm not getting anything
So wrong 😡
You should be able to activate it directly from your sky account not have to go through Discovery plus..

I joined Sky TV in Sept 2023 the contract included Paramount+ and Discovery+ for free. I have not been able to connect to Discovery+ since day 1. Sky have messed about and still nothing. In January 2024 I decided enough was enough and raised the issue with CISAS, their report stated that Sky did not act reasonably, the inconvenience and distress to the customer was significant, whilst discovery+ was free and was not part of the subscription the prolonged unavailabilty means Sky Tv is not providing something it said it would and consumer law gives the customer the right to a price reduction.
I received compensation from Sky Tv as per CISAS ruling. However I still do not have Discovery+ and am looking into what I can do next.

So many people are having issues with discovery+ and the same old information is written down when we have done it 1000 times I've done the New email everything what is even more annoying is that it actually logs onto discovery+ and I go to play six schizophrenic brothers, which I've been dying to watch only to endure The very annoying passcode and then when I research that and the marketplace it just goes on and on and on so yes I'm appealing to the public as to number one. I do not need to pay for discovery+ it says it clearly it's free so it's downloaded. I actually get onto discovery+ as said the most frustrating thing of all is you think great I can see the picture of six schizophrenic brothers it's just when you press play it wants this passcode and that means I've got to pay but on my online account it says it's free !!

Been trying for two days in conversations with Sky help desk but just going round in circles. Decided to dump Sky next year as it is getting too expensive.

Hi everyone. Thought I would provide an update. I spoke to someone who said sometimes if there is more than one email address on your account they can link the discovery plus to that one. It does not have to be your email address for your Sky account. When I asked them what other emails they held they looked it up and said it was attached to a different one. Once I knew this I could sign in with it and finally have been able to watch it!
So see if this has happened to you as well.

I did that. I use an old email address and as I said it got me onto discovery+ page and all the programs that seem to be all on there that I want to watch but it still didn't work when I went to press play Sky can't answer it, but they have the nerve to ask me for Please pay for your subscription when it is free because I've been with them 19 years so maybe it work for you, but it hasn't worked for me and the hours and days I've spent trying to watch six schizophrenic brothers and all the rest of them. I'm gonna have to wait till they come out on YouTube But I experienced it where I finally got past everything then got onto the discovery+ page went to press play and then it said please put in a stupid code which obviously went to the old email address that I haven't got anymore hence is I guess why I'm answering your question about using a different email address so I don't know I'll give up wrong thing to say, but they're a pain up the butt if you ask me

Only just seen this thread. I too am unable to log in. It is linked to two accounts (mine and my wifes).
I can get the app to open on my phone with my email but cannot log into the app through Sky on th tv. The Sky subscription is in my wifes name btw.

Thanks for the reply. Mine is only linked to one account but possibly an old email address. I would have thought Sky would be able to sort this but after numerous attempts speaking directly to assistants I still cannot get logged on. . Given up. Life is too short😩
