All Q Voice Control remotes work over Bluetooth, and so function as long as the box is in wireless range (and not in a Faraday Cage) : they don't need line of sight.  An IR repeater would be valid for the infra-red only (non-Voice) remotes which used to ship with Mini boxes and v1 1TB main boxes (before 2020).

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

hi @Peterc38

All voice remotes that can be used with all boxes use bluetooth which does not need line of sight - mine is on a shelf behind my TV.

So remote wise not a problem

The key thing, however, is to make sure there is sufficient ventilation & if using wifi rather than ethernet then this may be compromised

Can confirm YES this is what I do.

Just a note though, I had to connect a new remote a while back, but to do that you need clear line of sight to the IR receiver on the box while doing that.
