Box not connecting to internet even though internet is working. Message on screen that i can’t move

Message on screen that i can not remove as tv will not connect to universal remote or internet and box it has been like this for over a week now how do i sort this? Wifi is working but box will not connect

Hi @Jadeleex 

To what universal remote are you referring?

If you have a Sky Q remote try resetting to infrared mode by pressing and holding 7 & 9 on the remote until its LED flashes 4 times.

Then try pointing the remote at the Q box (it will need line of sight) to control it.

 

Once you get control carry a Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router.
If you are on Sky broadband you will be asked to press the WPS button on the Sky router. (Not on the Q box as the Network reset will start the main Q box WPS automatically). Make sure you press the WPS button on the Sky router and not the reset button.
if you are on 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.
