Both skyq hoxes have no signal even though connected to fast internet working fine
Both of my skyq boxes have no satellite signal.
Both have good status and are connected to internet.
Internet is working fine.
Dish looks fine.
Have unplugged and all other steps carried out.
No engineer for over a week which is not acceptable.

There's not really any alternative, unless you want to pay a local independent satellite dish installer to check the dish alignment and cabling. Internet access is irrelevant to Q box use in these circumstances, but should permit Sky Go use once the Q hardware is unpowered.

It's been fairly well documented in the media that Sky have reduced their workforce of staff including engineers. With Sky no longer supporting Sky+ or Sky+HD issues that has impacted the need for so many. Unfortunately it doesn't alter the fact you've been given the earliest available appointment in your area.

I just think for the money they charge I should be able to speak to someone. The boxes won't turn on, I cannot even access my apps or recordings, the dish and cables are fine. Weird how within 5 mins both bixes working fine both stop working together.
And have to pay for an enhineer too.
Well that's what you get for being a 20 year customer! Hey ho!

You only need to pay for an engineer if you employ a local satellite company because you don't want to wait a week. An engineer appointment arrange with Sky is free.

Sky technology is garbage - on-demand wasn't working for me, I followed their reset instructions, and now I apparently don't have a signal, which somehow means I can't see the TV Guide nor access my recordings...
Look for alternatives - I will be.

without insurance then you are at the mercy of available staff. However, once fixed call Sky and ask for a credit to cover the impacted period.

With Sky Q all Mini boxes are clients of the main Q box: if that loses its satellite signal then they do too.

Managed to get boxes working myself but now only limited features. I agree with you, what a **bleep**show!
