I've done all that for 3 days now, I kept it on the blank screen for 10mins it's finally on finally catching up on ghost adventures

Have the same issue here so going to try the leavig it toload suggestion.   Its only Sky thats having the issue for me as i can get the App to load on a Firestick and my mobile.

After a 2 minute wait, it's back.

 

No idea about closing and opening again yet.

 

EDIT same story when closing and opening again.

Waiting 5 mns or so for it to load seems to work but it still is very slow between pages.

Doing the same for me on my V2 Sky Q box.
Waiting on the blank screen for a few minutes and the app eventually comes to life.

😪Not loading AGAIN just have the discovery+ logo on the screen

Same for us, just hanging on the Disc.+ splash page, not loading into main app. Have tried software update, power cycling the box.
