Bedroom Sky box not turning on - Constant red light

Hi,

 

The sky box in my bedroom is not turning on - it is showing a constant red light. I have used the troubleshooting that is on the help page and the box is still not coming on. I think an engineer is required as I cannot remember if the box has ever been serviced.

The boxes are essentially 'unserviceable'.

 

Try the following:

Switch the Sky Q Mini box off at the mains.
Hold down the Reset button on the back of the Sky Q Mini box and switch it back on at the mains.
Keep holding it until the light on the front flashes red and green. This will take about 30 seconds.
Once it flashes red and green, press the standby button on the front of the box.
If the lights don't show after 30 seconds, repeat steps 1 to 2.
The box will then restart.
After the on-screen messages have disappeared, press Home on your Sky Q remote to switch your box back on.

 

If this fails then you'll have to call Sky for a replacement - an engineer may not be needed for a swap.

Thanks for your reply. 

 

We have done this multiple times. My son-in-law has also followed all the steps but the box is still not coming on.
