BBC1 (101) has changed region and I haven’t moved

Channel 101 on Q box has switched region from BBC1 Wales to BBC1 East Midlands but I have not moved or changed my address.  I can't seem to find a way to speak to anyone at Sky about this and none of the help pages appear relevant.  As I understand it the BBC 1 region is linked by Sky to your address  so I don't know how this can have happened. Does anyone have any ideas about how to solve this problem or point me in the direction of a sky phone number where I can get it corrected.

thanks

@baggers54

If there's ever a problem at a particular studio (a fire alarm is a good example), the region is moved to another in the short term. Try it again for the evening news maybe.

If it continues then to call Sky dial 150 (free) from a Sky Talk landline or a Sky mobile or alternatively use the following link
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK customers: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ leading to a 0333 number.
ROI customers: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ to see a dedicated ROI number.

The posting of full phone numbers isn’t permitted on the forum.

Calls to Sky will initially be automated which may try to send you here to the forum, offer you online help or offer to send you a text. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

hi @baggers54

Has the actual channel (the name) changed or just getting programmes from a different region ?

Sometimes the BBC have Tech problems (or industrial disputes) which means for a few nulletins they may show a different region.

If it is the actual channel and it does not correct itself in a day or so report back and we will see if the support team canassist

The name of the channel and the content itself have changed from BBC1 Wales to BBC1 East Midlands and it has been like this for a few days.
The  only other factor I can think of is that I notified BT of an intended house move to the East Midlands region, but that is not until the end of March and I don't see how that would link to my Sky address and region.

@baggers54

I have escalated your post to a SKY support team, who, hopefully, will be in touch & may be able to assist with this.

Please see this link re the escalation and what you might see:

If you are using Safari I believe you must make sure that 'Hide IP address' is not checked in settings to be able to see it - if you have difficulty finding that setting then may be try accessing here with another browser

Hi

Apologies, I have not used this system before and it appears I messed up replying to the chat invitation and have lost it.
