I have a Sky q main box and 3 minis.
When watching the Sky Comedy channel in the last few weeks, I've noticed there is audio description running on the tv shows. This has only started recently.
I've gone into settings numerous times on each box and Audio Description is OFF.
I've pressed the ? Button on remotes and the Audio Description is definitely off.
I've turned Audio description ON and then Off again but the issue persists.
No other Sky channel has this issue.
All boxes have been turned off and on again multiple times and still the same issues.
How do I sort this please?

Hi
I've noticed the same and it has been driving me crazy. I cannot get rid of it either. Just Sky comedy channel.

As sorry as I am to hear you are having issues, I'm glad I am not the only one.
I too thought I was going mad.
Hopefully, someone in the know will be along soon enough to offer a solution.

Audio Description is OFF on settings- accessibility.
Also off on the quick menu (? Button) when watching channel.
No other channels are impacted apart from Sky Comedy.
Checked software version earlier and running the very latest.

I'm having the same issue, sky comedy only. I've audio description set too off but it hasn't changed it. Any help to sort it would be great 🙂

Looks like it's nothing to do with the Q box @bof @danbol @aislingdaithi @Ziggy4
It would appear that the channel is broadcasting the Audio Description constantly.
Best to report it to Viewer relations as a channel issue.

Hi All,
I think it's on permanently for some programmes, I've only noticed it for Will & Grace. Still don't know how to stop it though!

I just had this happen watching Barry on Sky Comedy, I changed the Audio Description setting on the channel via the ? button to On and it turned off the voice over!

Hi,
I'm having same issue.
I've just been onto support for the last 30 mins. We did a software update but it has not resolved the issue.
It's really annoying so Sky need to fix this ASAP.
I've emailed the email provided above as well.

Hi yes it's very annoying, I have emailed the email above too but they just suggested things I tried to do already. I told them those suggestions didn't work. They said its not a Sky issue and that I should call their technical support about it. I said it was a sky issue as other people are having the same issue and why should I go chasing their Tech support, they should call me. They then said they have passed my details onto their Tech support to contact me, that was over a week ago and I've heard nothing. Yet again Sky useless at customer service, which should be better considering the amount they charge for their services!!!
