I tend to use Disney, Apple etc via the sky Q app but I remember someone saying for Dolby atmos and picture qaulity it was better if you used the app on your TV.
Any comments?

Hi @Alibali65 It's a matter of personal preference, you will need to try the TV apps so that you can compare for yourself to which one you prefer?

Personally I always recommend using the TV apps as they are usually set for up the TV, although it might depend on the TV & manufacturer
On Disney plus, Netflix & Prime (so I am guessing Apple but I don't have it) will have the advantage on the TV (or on other devices such as Firestick 4K) of using Dolby Vision which the SKY Q can't do.
Some apps also benefit from having Dolby Atmos on TV & other devices which is not available on all the SKY Q apps - although some do have it (Disney + & Netflix I think but not Prime)
If your TV doesn't suport Dolby Vision or your TV/Sound system do not support Atmos then you probably get similar results on either
