Apple TV Offer: '... until 7th July', Apple said to contact 'third party' :-(
I got an email from Sky yesterday saying:
'... it’s your last chance to activate your 6-month free trial of Apple TV+. You have until 23:59 on the 7th July 2023, so be quick!'
But I get 'your code limit has been reached' in my Apple account. Apple said the offer was over - but it's a Sky offer!
What can I do?
Cheers,
Chris

Have you used a number of codes before to get free access to Apple TV+ or other Apple services? I think they do have a limit to stop customers constantly getting freebies.
The way around it is to set up another (free) Apple ID and use that for Apple TV+.

The offer in the app finished earlier this month but this email has gone out I believe to those who have not yet activated it but have claimed it.

Afternoon SlenderRobert (how I'd love to be slender too!) - this was a great suggestion... But I now get the message that the promotion was applied to my original account. 😞
So close as well!
I suppose limiting the offer is reasonable - but I've only had it once. And, surely, if Sky offer me the deal, shouldn't that obligate them?
Thanks for the reply anyway,
Cheers,
Chris

Hi caesarome - thanks for the information. I don't suppose you'd know how to persuade Sky (or Apple) to activate the offer - I did try before but have always got stuck with the Apple account nonesense. (And now they have washed their hands of me * sigh *)
I wonder if it looks like I've been using Apple TV from Apple's point of view, but have not been able to actually view anything - as, I suppose, Sky could verify. Grrr.
Cheers,
Chris

Hi @SkyPilot101 have you checked tv.apple.com to see if the offer has been redeemed on your account.
You can also check from the Sky Q box as well once you are longed in with your appleid credentials and have a mobile device to recieve your codes if you have set up 2FA(two Factor Authentication)
When you redeem the offer is doesn't automatically sign you in on that device you have to sign into each device separately Sky Q box, Firetvstick Apple Devices Android Devices via a webbrowser any device where you can install the Apple TV+app.

Morning - many thanks for the constructive reply 🙂
I generallly hate having to use my Apple account, so I never 'explore' it. Your suggestion to check the redeption is excellent: thank you for the pointer! I'll check the 'subscriptions' later. I'm sure I've been through every setting/option on Sky Q, but I don't remember seeing this. I'll have a look at that too.
Thanks again,
Chris
