After a few minutes, my sky box and remote dont work together. I cant pause, rewind or press anythin

My box isn't connecting to the remote and I have to turn everything off at the mains to restart all the time. Within a few minutes it happens again. There's new batteries in remote. It's been happening for 3 weeks now, think I need new box
