Adding a non sky mesh extender via rj45

I currently have sky full fibre 500 fttp but not sky wifi max.  I have connected some devices via network switches and rj45 cables but have a wifi blackspot in the rear lounge.  I was looking at adding something like a TP link deco or similar but all I want to do is keep the sky max ssid and password.

could I connect a deco or similar via an Rj45 connection to the sky router and it will use the same ssid and password for the hub or would I be creating myself problems with conflicting wifi signals?

I could just bite the bullet and pay another £4pm for the wifi max service I suppose.

would welcome peoples thoughts.

Normal configuration is to disable the WiFi on the router and use the mesh only.  That way you can safely use the same SSID.

As you note it will only reliably work if the Q boxes are connected via Ethernet to a node.  However, I still found the Q traffic potentially disruptive - a VLAN may assist but I'm not sure if the Deco's can be configured this way.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Big chance of conflicts. A proper single vendor mesh is much better
