Adding Netflix and Disney+ to Sky subscription
Hi,
I've been reading through so many different pages that I think I have now confused myself so thought it was best if I asked for advice!
We currently have Sky Signature on SkyQ and standalone Disney+ and Netflix on basic subscriptions with ads.
With all the talk of Sky Ultimate and the streaming packages, I've been trying to decipher if I am better adding my Disney+ and Netflix to my Sky subscription and I just had a few questions.
Do I need to cancel my Disney+ and Netflix standalone subscriptions? I feel like one thing I read says no and then the next says yes.
Is there a cost implication? We currently pay £33.95 for Sky Signature and £5.99 each for Disney+ and Netflix. I'm assuming it wouldn't cost any more to add them to my Sky but I can't find a definitive answer.
Where does Ultimate TV come into it if I have Sky Signature?
Like I said, I've read through loads of pages and ultimately confused the hell out of myself so if anyone could help (preferably as if you were explaining it to a 10 year old!) it would be much appreciated.

hi @kaylarina
I will talk about Disney+ first - the announcement is that in March SKY users will get the base subscription for no extra cost from some time in March with the ability to pay extra for the higher tiers.
It may be slightly beneficial to switch to paying through SKY now as the base price is the same just because then the switch miight happen quicker than waiting until it is all in place and then switch but I doubt there will be much in it.
Netflix doesn't change as part of this announcement and various discussions on here have often confused because 'Ultimate' on SKY Stream includes Netfix as standard, whereas for SKY Q customers it is a separate add on to SKY Signature.
Paying SKY for Netflix is usually slightly cheaper than paying Netflix Directly - I think the base sub is currently £4.99 but you would need to check that

Re: Adding Netflix and Disney+ to Sky subscription
Sky's own website is confusing with Netflix availibility - as on the screen shot below you can see that at the top it says Netflix is included with all TV packages but then says, Ultimate TV only.

Re: Adding Netflix and Disney+ to Sky subscription
Sorry thought of one more question - if I'm already logged into Netflix/Disney on my Sky box do I need to log out or just go to watch it to transfer my account?

We don't know the actual mechanism at the moment for Disney +
if you switch to paying SKY for Netflix then this page details the process:

Re: Adding Netflix and Disney+ to Sky subscription
I'm currently contracted to the top tier Netflix until March 2027, so what are people's thoughts on downgrading to the basic one ? Disney's no contract, so presumably not an issue to go to the ad supported version. Hoping that if this works, they'll add Apple TV at some point
