Activation of Sky Q full package

After one month of purchasing Sky TV Q I still have not got all channels I subscribed to, plus no Netflix or apps.

Sky tell me SkyQ needs activating then all will be available but no instructions or working link to do it.

Help?

What package did you subscribe to? Q Essentials?

@Harry107 Did you get the Q box from Sky did a Sky engineer come and fit the box?

 If you got the box from Sky you would have taken out a subscription to channels you will need to check in your emails what Sky Q package you subscribed to then we would know what channels you should have access to

I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

That's the box they lend you for the duration of your subscription...  as noted you need to check your account to see what the subscription is.

@Harry107

If you've signed up for 'Television Essentials' on Q then that's absolutely not the same product as 'Essential TV' on Glass/Stream, and doesn't have Netflix, Discovery+ or Sky Atlantic (or any of the other Sky subscription channels) which are included on the streaming platforms.

Television Essentials is free-to-air satellite channels plus recording/playback: it's essentially an expensive way to receive Freesat.

Many forum posters and a wide range of online sources (including AI search results) have been confused by the very poor choice of product names.

Re: Activation of Sky Q full package

I've got Sky Q 1TB UHD which includes Netflix, an engineer is ringing me today.

It was installed by an engineer.

You really do need to look at your bills to confirm what subscription(s) you have.

As noted already, the box is irrelevant as such...

The box itself doesn't 'include' anything: content availability is determined by the subscription(s).  To use Netflix on Q requires either Ultimate TV, Signature with a Netflix add-on or Television Essentials plus a separate direct Netflix subscription.

There's also a known software glitch where one or more apps don't appear in the GUI at all: this isn't a subscription thing.
