3rd party fibre connected - how to use Sky mesh?
I've just had a 3rd party fibre connection to house. Sky Q works with 2 mini boxes and 3 Sky boosters to provide a Sky mesh broadband network currently. I'd like to replace the Sky broadband with the new fibre network and benefit from the speed and bandwidth but it was tricky to setup a mesh system that worked and to get the coverage in a 5 storey building. What would you recommend to keep the Sky minis working well and also benefit from the new fibre supplied to the house to provide good WiFi throughout? Is it a powerline network I need, connecting all the minis and boosters to the fibre rourer that way?

Hi @reg1237
No way of knowing how your boxes will perform with 3rd party broadband. Your Sky Q boosters came still be used between main Q box and minis but they cannot be connected by WiFi to a 3rd party router.
Powerline/full Ethernet for all Q boxes could be an option but Powerline success depends on the complexity and condition of your mains wiring.
Using full Ethernet here on main Q box and one mini with two further minis on Devolo Powerline. Original setup was with BT router but now with Gigaclear fibre.
Main advantage if you can get all boxes on Ethernet/Powerline is that you can turn off all Q box WiFi.

Thanks for your reply. I'll likely give something similar a try. Obviously some trial and error required!
