@paultf1 Sky won't release that information simply because if its delayed for any reason it could cause problems

The lack of door bell cam on a tablet is not new. I have been informed by Sky that our tablets, Samsung Galaxy A8's are simply not compatible with the Sky Protect app. They have also mentioned that the app is only compatible with Android 10 and above - no other advice or information including whether they intend updating the app so that it is compatible.
This is just one of many issues I have ongoing, all unresolved despite email exchanges going back to October last year.
One possible resolution I did find was that the tablets run 2.4Ghz WiFi connection, not 5 Ghz as most devices. This has caused issues with WiFi reception at home. This has been resolved by adding a travel router to the system - I've ordered one to try. It will be a possible assist but no guarantee.
Sadly, none of the technical help team really have much idea about the equipment and how it works. The advice I've had so far has all been rather silly. e.g. move the chime nearer to the door cam to improve signal strength. To do that I had to instal TP links in the hall to get a connection to my router. It didn't make any difference but at least we can hear the door chime now! A good job as the app only notifies us of activity some 15 minutes later - if it hasn't already logged us out of the app anyway.
It really isn't worth the having any of the tech, it just doesn't work as advertised.
