Hi tried multiple times to get the home insurance every time told I can't be covered. Why is this

No-one here can know that, and underwriters don't have to say.
In general, factors can include location, property type, construction method, occupancy, previous claims history, demographics, flood/subsidence risk and many others. Something as simple as a data mismatch can also cause a request for cover to be rejected.
Note this isn't actually 'Sky insurance' and previous history of Sky subscription has no bearing on the calculation.
