Video doorbell set up error

I am currently trying to set up my new video door bell. As soon as we connected it to the WiFi it started a Firmware update and it looks like that hasn't completed, so we cannot complete the set up. It seems to be stuck, powering off and on (we left it for a long time) doesn't seem to have worked, we have tried to hard wire into router, doesn't work. On the doorbell itself the colour around the button is pink/purple. I have called the support who said they have sent a manual update to ge the firmware update completed, but I am not sure how they can do that when the doorbell hasn't been synced with the chime. 

 

Has anyone else had this issue? Or what do you suggest. It is just stuck and completely useless.
