I need help to set up an additional user. Message I'm getting is that there appears to be a problem

Have you created the additional user from within the Sky Protect app, this is the recommended way;
Open the Sky Protect app.
Select the ‘people’ tab in the bottom bar.
Choose ‘add user’.
Enter the name, email address and telephone number of your chosen home member.
Select ‘add user.'
The invitation will now be sent to their email. They can accept it and create their account.
Sky Stream with two pucks (former Sky Q and Sky+ customer).
Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Mobile unlimited data. Sky Protect smart tech kit tester.

Email address does not match with your registered email but it requires an alternative one adding ???

@united2015 when my wife was added as an additional user she created her Sky ID then tried to log into the app with this but it wouldn't recognise her Sky ID but with using the e-mail address she registered with Sky for her ID it then allowed her access to the app.
At what stage of the process are you having the problems.
I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer
