Sky protect will not renew

Extremely dissapointed with Sky this morning. 
I've received an email advising me that they will not be renewing my insurance next month as I made a claim last year !?! 
They were originally underwritten by Zurich and this has now changed to AXA who not insure us because we had a claim last year. No consideration for the amount of money I've paid over the last 2 years being insured with Sky and the fact that I've made one claim which was not for a huge sum of money ??? I'm a little confused as to what insurance is for if you can't be insured after making a claim previously ???

Sky Group is not an insurance company and has nothing to do with whether a customer of theirs will be offered cover or renewal by one of the underwriters who license Sky branding: legally Sky cannot be involved in that process at all.

 

Without going into any particular individual circumstances, I'd observe that regulated insurance companies can make any decision they see fit as long as these are legal and permitted by the Financial Conduct Authority.
