Sky protect equipment
Does anybody know if my sky protect equipment (doorbell, camera, leak sensors etc) would be any use to someone else who has a sky protect policy.. I haven't renewed and so they are completely useless to me but I really don't want to throw them in the bin (as sky team suggested)

Re: Sky protect equipment
You can pass them on for someone else to add to their Sky Protect bundle.
The kit is not specifically tied to your account for use and is yours to keep.
Some of the Sky Protect features will be turned off if you stop your Sky Protect policy.
More details on the loss of features here, under 'The Smart Tech bundle' section;
The devices are yours to keep if you cancel Smart Home Insurance. You might be asked to pay an early termination charge in some cases, like if you've made a claim during your policy term and then cancel.
You can keep your devices, but you'll have limited functionality with your Smart Tech.
- Cloud storage: Videos will no longer stay in the cloud for 30 days. You'll also be unable to download and share your clips.
- Motion and noise alerts: You won't get alerts to your phone when movement or sound is detected by your Video Doorbell and Indoor Camera.
- Auto-arming: Devices won't automatically activate when you leave home.
- Security scheduling: You won't be able to set specific times for your home to automatically arm or disarm.
- Incident escalation: If anything goes wrong and you're not available, we can't alert you or your emergency contact.
- Tech support: You'll lose access to live chat through the Sky Protect app.
