Today i connect my sky protect devices, so far so good. I am wondering if the chime doorbell unit is re-chargeable ? At the moment i am using the power adaptor, but in the instructions it shows a diagram saying 'usb charging port'.
Cant find any guidance re this port.
Can i charge the chime via usb, and ditch the power adaptor ?

The chime takes power from its power adapter only.
The usb port on the chime is there to charge the video doorbell.
You can recharge the video doorbell from any usb port, but it's just been made available for convieinence to charge the video doorbell via the Chime usb port.

Re: Sky chime
Hi, i have another question.
We are on bt full fibre, but our router is upstairs in our bedroom, at the front of the house, almost above the front door and doorbell.
How do i go about getting my router downstairs to improve the link and signal. ie longer ethernet cable ? Is there any devices i can use rather than a 30ft ethernet cable ??

Re: Sky chime
@Burntplumz You can use powerline adapters this will enable you to plug them near to the router and the chime and use the internal wiring of the property to connect the router and the chime.
If you have found this solution helpful please tick this as the answer.

Re: Sky chime
Ive purchased a pair of tp link adaptors. Conected as per instructuins and the chime would not sync at all.
Ive now reconnected the chime as per skys original set up procesure, and now my chime wont sync at all even though its connected directly to my router.
Ive reset everything, even used the pin to reset the chime box, juat always says 'connection timed oit, check internet connection. The wifi/internet is fine as all other devices in my house are running perfectly.
So infuriated at the moment with it.
