Sky Protect kit & Homekit / Matter compatibility

Hi,

I've seen a recent post about the Sky Protect security devices not currently planned for Homekit compatibility - any idea if they support (or plan to support) Matter or any other standard that I could bridge across to Homekit?

Just evaluating options before I sign the dotted line for the insurance and cancel my ADT alarm contract!

Thanks,

Dylan.

There's no published information to that effect, so I suspect not.

As has been mentioned on here before on here, at the moment the Sky Protect devices will not be able to integrate with Apple HomeKit or any have any Matter compatibility.

Having the devices Myself, they all can only work and be controlled on your network with the Sky Protect app.

Do you know if they use any standard at all or if it's custom? If they follow any sort of standard (zigbee / X10 or something) I can put a bridge in place.

Regards,

Dylan.

I'd observe that Sky (and Zurich, the insurers behind the Protect Home Insurance) are very careful to describe the hardware as a 'tech bundle' and not a security solution.
