Hey everyone,
Could do with some help here. I've had Sky Protect for a number of years and this year had issues with a TV. I had my main TV covered for that very reason. Firstly the screen was replaced then it developed weird issues with blotching & colour.
It was covered on Sky Protect & and engineer was booked to come two weeks ago. I received a call from the repair place stating my insurers had refused the claim. I was told this meant I was getting a new TV.
Two days later I received an email confirming this and was given a choice of six TVs which were priced at £00.00 and six of various prices.
None of the TVs matched the features of my TV. For one my TV was 120hz that was being replaced, had 2.1 HDMI and was Qled with FALD.
The ones priced £00.00 had terrible reviews from customers, were edge lit LED and were 77", mine was 65".
I opted to take an OLED and paid £275 towards it with the enhanced option. None on there had VRR support, nor 120hz - I'm a gamer - and I opted for the best one possible with the hope of selling on to replace my TV.
I received an email with my proof of purchase from Sky Protect and a further confirmation it had been added to my plan via text.
Fast forward to now I've sold the TV on and bought one that matches my needs. I've opted for a OLED 65" CS6.
I've just gone onto my Sky Protect page to add this TV and remove the other and I have no option to add the TV even though I pay for extra devices. What's worse is the TV they sent as a replacement isn't on there either?
The only devices showing are my MacBook and Sky Q box. I actually have two minis too and I'm not sure if they're covered by the one entry for Sky Q but there's no TV, there's no option to add and if I click previous it shows the one that broke.
What is going on as I'm paying for multiple devices including a TV. Even more bizarre, I received a letter this week from Sky Protect stating I wasn't taking full advantage of my plan and could add extra devices.
It looks to me like they've removed my ability to have my TV covered without consent. They didn't add the new replacement and I am now unable to add the new one, yet am paying cover.

Re: Replacement TV not showing. Can't add TV to sky Protect
Thanks for the reply. Normally I could just add but they seem to have changed their system now.
You don't even need serials anymore but the guy added them and managed to get my PS5 covered too 👍
