Keep an eye on your home with Leak Sensor alerts

Your Leak Sensor does more than just warn you about leaks. As part of Sky Smart Home, it can also help you monitor humidity and temperature, giving you extra peace of mind and helping you keep your home comfortable.

By keeping track of these levels, you can spot potential problems early — like damp, condensation, or rooms getting too hot or cold — even when you’re not at home.

What are humidity and temperature alerts?

Humidity alerts

Your Leak Sensor monitors the humidity levels in your home.
If humidity gets too high or too low, it could be a sign of:
  • Damp or condensation
  • Poor ventilation
  • A hidden leak
Getting an alert early can help you act before small issues turn into bigger ones.

Temperature alerts

The built‑in temperature sensor keeps an eye on how warm or cool a room is.
You’ll be alerted if:
  • A room becomes too cold
  • A room gets too hot
Alerts are sent whether you’re at home or away, so you’re always in the loop.

Recommended temperature and humidity levels

Sky Smart Home sets sensible defaults for you, but it’s useful to know the recommended ranges:
  • Room temperature:
    Between 10°C and 23°C
  • Humidity levels:
    Between 30% and 70%
These settings help protect your home while keeping your living space comfortable.

Get alerts straight to your phone

You can turn on push notifications to stay informed in real time.
You’ll receive alerts when:
  • The temperature goes above or below your chosen limits
  • Humidity moves outside your selected range
Notifications can be turned on or off at any time, so you stay in control.

How to change humidity and temperature alerts

If you’d like to adjust the alert levels, here’s how to do it in the Sky Smart Home app:
  1. Open the Sky Smart Home app
  2. Tap the Leak Sensor tile
  3. Select the Settings (cog) icon in the top right
  4. Adjust the temperature and humidity sliders to suit your needs
  5. Turn notifications on or off if you’d prefer not to receive alerts
It only takes a moment to personalise the settings to your home.

Why this matters?

Monitoring humidity and temperature can help:
  • Protect your home from long‑term damage
  • Spot potential issues early
  • Keep your living environment comfortable
It’s another simple way Sky Smart Home helps you look after your home, even when you’re not there.
