The suspicion with a phone of that vintage (2015) is that it isn't running (or can't run) a version of Android recent enough to support a particular app.

A quick look online suggests the 6S shipped with Android 5 and tops out at Android 8 (which itself was released in 2017 and is now out of support by Google)

Edit: I've asked Sky if they can publish a minimum specification for the Protect app.

Afraid that phone came with Android firmware 5.0.2 and has since it's launch has had a few available Android firmware upgrade downloads to Androidfirmware 8.0

But the Sky Protect minimum Android firmware for the app is version 9 and up.

You could try emailing the Sky Protect team via their developer support to clarify that minimum at;

From memory Android 9 is also now the minimum for Sky Go.

The minimum Android version for Sky Go is 5.1 and up.
