How can I share video clips from my Sky Smart Camera?

Want to show a delivery moment, check in with family, or share something important captured on camera? If you’ve got a Sky Smart Doorbell or Indoor Camera, it’s quick and easy to download and share video clips straight from the Sky Smart Home app.

Here’s how it works, and a few handy things to know along the way.

What you need to know

All video clips captured by your Sky Smart Doorbell or Indoor Camera are stored securely in the cloud for up to 30 days.

During this time, you can:

• Download clips to your device
• Share them directly with friends or family

After 30 days, clips are automatically deleted.

It’s also worth noting that your Indoor Camera only records clips and sends alerts when:

• Movement or sound is detected, and
• The camera is set to Armed

 

How to share a video clip

Sharing a clip takes just a few taps in the Sky Smart Home app:

1. Open the Sky Smart Home app
2. Select your Smart Doorbell or Indoor Camera from the homepage
3. Choose the date and time of the clip you want
4. Tap Share
5. Choose to either:
   • Save the video to your device, or
   • Share it directly using your preferred app (such as messaging or email)

That’s it — simple and secure.

How to delete a clip

If you no longer need a clip, you can remove it from the app at any time:

1. Open the calendar view in the Sky Smart Home app
2. Tap the clip you want to delete
3. Swipe the clip fully to the left
4. When prompted, tap Yes to confirm

Good to know:

• Clips can only be deleted one at a time
• Once deleted, a clip can’t be recovered
