Since updating the indoor cam I'm having really bad issues. None of the sensors are connecting correctly. The door cam doesn't connect. I've power cycled everthing but nothing works. The door can also needs a firmware update but flat out refuses to update. I feel like an alpha tester for sky at this point.

I had the same problem with the doorbell syncing, if you have it next to the chime and pair the two, once it says it's connected wait about 5-6 sec and then press the doorbell, when it then send the notification to the app , open the cam - that linked mine and I was then able to take it outside and put it on the door. The Wi-Fi showed full and battery icon was back, don't know if that will help everyone but it works for me

I noticed mine stopped working on the 2nd July, spoke to my other half who suggested I charge it, that wasn't the Jude's it was an update. Battery life is fine on ours but I've been updating this damn thing for well over 12 hours when it should only take a "few minutes" it's absolutely ridiculous!

well it was working for the last 48H but it's been like this all day

So quick update
I left my door bell on charge over night using my Samsung charger. I then unplugged it for a bit and then charged it again all day. Since then it's held its charge a bit better. No where near 2 months like they say. More like 2 weeks if I'm lucky.

Yes, I had to do a firmware update, which it wouldn't do, contacted sky and after repeating myself several times they told me to disconnect it all. Now it won't reconnect. Just buy a ring doorbell, so much less faff

Tweaks to things like detection thresholds and default recording length could do so.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI've had mine since 7th July.
Noticed it was about 80% charged on arrival, so after initial setup and testing heavily for a few hours gave it a booster ( it was still around 80% at that point) for a few hours to 100 % (from the charging orange/blue to blue).
Have given it plenty of pretty heavy testing use over the weekend and last few days, with plenty of testing recordings and plenty arriving at the door during all those days. It's still showing 100 %.
I did as suggested in the help on the app, set the maximum recording clip to 15 secs and the time between clips at 60 secs. Plus have set an activity zone to remove the majority, so it's not recording passers by on the pavement and traffic on the road, so just my gate and pathway to the door.
Might be worth giving it a go.
Be interesting also to know how often it is recording during a day for you and how often your doorbell is pressed. So we can get an idea of how heavy the camera is being used in that area.

My doorbell battery completely died when I was out today. Had it on charge for an hour now and it's still completely dead.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI'd leave it on charge for a good number of hours, perhaps overnight.
It will not charge to full in an hour.
Are you charging it from the usb connection on the Chime, as that is a fast or more powerful charger?
Assume you are seeing the flashing orange and blue lights on the doorbell whilst charging?

I had to switch it on and off again. All sorted now. Thanks for the reply.

Since a replacement Doorbell has been sent out everything is much better I assume the latest firmware update hasn't harmed either. I have an additional motion sensor and window sensors now too. 🙂

I'm on my 3rd doorbell. They are saying there's a bug detected in some of the doorbells that are causing them not to recognise when they are fully charged??Strange one but I'm now waiting for them to test one at there lab and send me one that's not got the bug which if I'm honest I'm not getting my hopes up
