Doorbell Problems

Just invested in Sky Protect and about to install Doorbell etc. Reading all the 'Doorbell' threads it appears the battery life is non-existent and is it right, that I have to remove the doorbell for 3-4 hours to charge it up? No spare battery or live charging?

Currently have a Ring Video 2 Doorbell and I am inclined to stay with this if the Sky product is not fit for purpose?

The doorbells usually get shipped with N 80% to 100 % charge, so it it is wise to charge for a few hours before installing.

I have find the doorbell stays charged for about a month before needing a full charge. in the just coming up to four months I have had it.

It is recommended to charge overnight, it seems to need a good 6-8 hours to charge via the chime each time I have had to charge it, from it being a very low battery.

Mine does get used pretty regularly each day with many recordings during the day, so I'd say a heavy user.

I have turned down the length of recording and interval time in the app, that will save on battery usage.

Realistically the 'purpose' of the 'Smart Tech Bundle' is to be a marketing tool for a Zurich insurance product with Sky branding.

I'd strongly suggest looking at the difference in monthly insurance cost between the two different offerings, with and without the gadgets.
