Re: Door Bell not pairing, constant orange light
I can't even get my chime to pair! I gave up and put everything back in the box! An unbelievably poor piece of kit!

Re: Door Bell not pairing, lights on both
unit flash as expected. These devices paird ok untill doorbell was recharged. after charge they wer not paired, and cannot be re-paired. chime is connected to router, sequence starts ok with 'units are pairing' message, but does not complete. door bell is in close proximity to chime. I have reset router, used different router port and changed RJ45 cable. The lights indicate that chime is connected to / recognised by router. I have tried a 2nd doorbell (both fully charged0 with same rersult.
I have issues with room camera as well. only thing that workes properly is infra red presence sensor. this notifies my, by push, within 10 seconds. When door bell was 'working', push notified me about 2 minutes after doorbell ringer had given up and driven away.
I will not swear, but after 3 monthes, 2 chimes, 2 doorbells and 10 hours on phone, I conclude that this equipment nis a bag of SHxxx. If I handon aquired it as part of house insurance, it would have been returned as not sutable for the job. I dont use it anymore, I have re-installed my original bell.

Re: Door Bell not pairing, constant orange light
@Kimberley51 Are you doing the pairing with the chime close to it?

Re: Door Bell not pairing, constant orange light
Yes right next to it. It flashes blue/orange whilst pairing then just goes orange and starts flashing orange

Re: Door Bell not pairing, constant orange light
@Kimberley51 I take it that you are going through the install motions using the Sky protect app to install the doorbell to the chime?

Sometimes this has worked
Turn off the video doorbell using the switch at the back, next to the usb charging point.
Leave the doorbell off for at least ten minutes.
W hile the doorbell is off, Repower the Chime.
When you have turned the doorbell back on, perform a full charge, leave charging for at least 8 hours or overnight.
Once charged, remove the charging cable and it should connect after a minute or so.

Re: Door Bell not pairing, constant orange light
Thanks Lettice. I have tried that. I am reasonably able technically, but I have failed so far. It is annoying that the system worked (poorly) before re-charging the door bell, but it did not 'pick up' the pair automatically after charging, and will not pair when I go through the sequence. I will get someone else to try the chime / doorbell install, without my supervision, in case I am repeatedly doing something I shouldn't.
