I have been paying domestic and general to cover my Sky Q box but was wondering if I actually need this? What would sky charge to fix/replace the box if it breaks. I pay £5 a month and have used it less than a handful of times over 20 years. That's a lot of money I probably didn't need to spend and may not need to continue spending. If I cancel domestic and general would sky protect be any cheaper? Also I'm sure I read somewhere a while ago that sky fix/replace the box for free if it breaks?

And Sky Protect Device Insurance also covers accidental damage to Q hardware, which the normal contract, at least in theory, does not.

Re: Domestic and general
Sky Q equipment is repaired or replaced at no extra cost to the customer. It's a matter for yourself. Some customers have Sky Protect through D & G as sometimes wait times for an engineer can be shorter. Also on the Sky Protect cover you can have other devices covered too such as mobiles and tablets.
