I purchased Sky Protect Home insurance on sky.com - money taken but no confirmation comms and it is not showing in My Products in My Sky. Would ring them but need to wait for opening hours.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI think you will need to install the Sky Protect app on your mobile device to access home insuance documents as they would not be visible via your Sky account as Sky Protect is separate to the rest of Sky.

Thanks. Now downloaded the App but when I try to log in with my Sky ID it keeps showing a complicated error message. It's never straightforward!

When you take out Sky Protect, your documents should appear under the Protect tab in the MySky app as well as in the Sky Protect app itself.

I cannot find my policy either . You click on sky protect and nothing to show you but a new quote . Sky protect app failure to login . Utter ridiculous. Phone customer service you get put through to someone trying to sell you another policy . First and last time I insure with SKY .
I just want a copy of my policy not to much to ask ???

I have now emailed sky where I guess the answer will be with a question can I have your policy number please .

Yes but you shouldn't have to do this the policy should be on the sky website ready to download especially when they do not send you out any info ...

I think you are missing the point. The insurance documents are *normally* available in the MySky app and also in the Sky Protect app. They are also emailed to your registered email when you take out the policy. In your case this is not the case, which is why it is suggested that you contact Sky about this.

I think your the one who is missing the point . You just said they should be showing in my account so is that not clearly the point .
You must work for Sky ?if not you should let them know how clever you are .

I rang Sky Protect on a number given to me by a Sky contact centre advisor, and they confirmed my Policy number. I tried to put the phone number here but he ruled won't allow me to.
I hadn't received the email as there was a slight error in the email address. I should receive a new email with the Policy Doc within 24hrs.
I asked about the App login issue and why you can't see the policy details on Sky.com - the advisor said there are known issues with the app and they are trying to fix it but did not have any other info, or about .com so I left it.
The advisors only know what they're told so they must not have had much steer from the Sky Protect side of the business on how to handle customer queries on app or .com queries. Not their fault and they were very amenable and helpful otherwise.
