Alert on phone when doorbell is pressed

Can anyone tell me how I can get a proper alert on my phone when someone presses my doorbell? I have it set up that I get a banner type notification but was hoping I would be able to get a proper sound alert if someone is at my door. As it is unless I'm looking at my phone screen at the time I won't be made aware when someone is at my door. Massive design fault in my opinion. Thanks for reading.

@Beckyk18 i have my phone set up to play a sound when I get an alert from the Sky protect app so you would need to check your phone rather than the app

As above, this is more do with your phone having a sound for notifications.

You will need to go into your phone settings notification section and see if that is reporting the notification with sound.

Re: Alert on phone when doorbell is pressed

Thanks. I thought the app would have a facility to set it up with an alert for the doorbell. My front door is straight onto the pavement so I've had to disable to motion sensor part of the camera. Being disabled and struggling to get to the door very fast I thought this would be a real game changer for me but it will just blend into other notifications now which wasn't what I expected. Thanks anyway.

@Beckyk18 not sure about your phone but on mine I can change the notification ringtone for each app so have a seperate one for the Sky protect app

Re: Alert on phone when doorbell is pressed

Hey there @Beckyk18
Please set the notification sounds for the doorbell app to allow sound alerts and set them to high priority. The notification settings on your phone should also be set to allow sound and vibrations for the app.
