In fact so little works correctly Sky have (as of yesterday) offered to take it all back and reissue a new insurance quote WITHOUT' the tech portion at a better price and shorter 12 month minimum term. Speaks volumes.

The Protect Building & Contents insurance has always been available without the 'Smart Tech bundle' at lower monthly cost: my quote just now is £10 per month less for the non-Smart version.

As I've said elsewhere in this forum, personally I don't think Sky was particularly wise to offer this hardware in a marketing thing.

Re: Sky Protect Indoor Cam Reset

I have solved my issues with firmware not updating on the indoor camera.

It's not a hardware fault it's an app problem on Android.

The solution is to force stop the sky protect app.

Then clear all cach and data.

Relaunch the app and go to settings and update the firmware.  Job done.

@Kayksy  When you set up the video doorbell it tells you the strength of the signal from the chime, how many bars of strength does it have?

As for the indoor camera is it seeing the wireless network that your router is broadcasting? Do other devices connect to the router okay within the property?

If someone has helped give them Like.

Re: Sky Protect Indoor Cam Reset

I have between 2 and 3 bars of the strength signal it's scans the QR code fine but will not connect, beside the doorbell and indoor camera I have my iPad and phone connected to the same Wi-Fi and is fine

@Kayksy  Have you tried to connect the indoor camera right next to the router and then move it to its final place. With the chime and doorbell how many walls are in between them?

Re: Sky Protect Indoor Cam Reset

Honestly they are rubbish, you would be better buying blink cameras. When sky bought neos they used the software but not the devices, this is their worst mistake, and they don't care, i got rid of mine halfway through the insurance term they were so bad, plus they're all on 2.4g but sky routers prefer 5g. Buy blink or another well established brand. They say their free but you pay when you look at your insurance premium, and they're definitely not worth the £250 they say, neos offered the same equipment for £99  before sky bought it.

The Smart Tech insurance product is no longer available to new customers (and hasn't been for some time)

Newer posts here refer to Smart Home, which is the hardware and software bundle on a subscription basis.

Does sound like your indoor camera is not connecting to your router on a 2.4ghz connection.
