struggle with sim activation

hello, i got a new sim a few months ago with my phone package. i couldn't activate it but i am still paying for it. please help

You shouldn't be charged for the sim if you never activated it because if sims are not activated after 30 days they are usually cancelled. Does the sim show on your account as activated or still activating ?
