still showing up as temp number after transfer

I got a temporary number from sky whilst they transferred over my old number from EE. My number was successfully transferred but when i send a text, (i have an iphone)  it sometimes sends from the old temporary number. how do i stop this from happening? its making it difficult to communicate with people.

Give this a try @Ck03 :

You will need to refresh the network settings so go Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. If you're using iOS or iPadOS 14 or earlier, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Then go to Settings - Phone - My Number and change it if it is wrong, then reboot the phone. You will need to set up your Wifi connection again.
