Can you provide some more information like are you a new customer to Sky Mobile and if so have you activated the sim online before using it, if this doesn't apply to you as it worked previously ?

with sky for at least six month with no problems, have tried reset network settings several times, but to no avail, have entered pin, but it just keeps asking to reenter pin

Are you able to try the sim in another phone to see if it works  and perhaps try a different sim in your phone ?

changed sim, now working ok.
