I have taken delivery of a iphone 14 plus it came with a physical sim card which i activated and had my old number transferred across. I put the Sim in the phone and began the transfer of data from my old iphone . the new phone started a software upgrade and kept freezing and now the data transfer from phone to phone has also stopped . I then saw in my email that the device requires esim - why did it come with a physical sim then? What do I do now that the physical sim is in the new phone? i have no phone at all at the moment !!!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt doesn't require an eSIM, a physical SIM is just fine.
if your original phone is intact I'd preform a factory reset on the new one and start the transfer process again. Do not wipe the old device until successful.
The SIM only provides cellular connectivity.
